Without question – My buddy Uli Rodenberg of Rodenberg Amplification has created some of the best Overdrive pedals you can get nowadays. Now, for the first time, the Rodenberg company has released a new stompbox with a slightly different character. Unlike the smooth and warm overdrive of their GAS pedals the new “Commander” has a different mission which is distortion. Well, not the nasty kind of distortion but actually a very musical sounding, transparent and juicy Rock tone!

I’ve recorded a short demo for the Rodenberg website using the Commander pedal along with my Ladner Nightfly amp and my Flying V guitar and I really dig the sound.
